This weekend’s “Season Opener” on Saturday and Sunday has been cancelled due to the low 39 – 45 degree temperatures forecasted for Southern Maryland. We generally like to see temps in the upper 40’s at a minimum on race days. With the racing surface sitting idle all winter long with no fresh rubber laid down and temps in the low 40’s, we feel that it will just not allow for safe racing conditions. MIR’s reputation for safety and a great racing surface means a lot to us and that is why this decision was made. MIR’s “Season Opener” will now be held on March 9-10th, so help us pass the word and we hope to see you all then
