Top Fuel legend Larry “Spiderman” McBride is recovering from a successful knee surgery, performed last week. Spiderman had his torn meniscus repaired and is expected to fully recover in four to six weeks.
“I go to the gym a lot, so the rehab won’t bother me at all,” McBride said. “It’s still pretty sore, but I can feel it slowly healing.”
McBride does not think his surgery will interfere with his next scheduled race, the Manufacturers Cup from Bradenton, Fla., April 5-7.
“I think I will be just fine,” McBride said. “I’ve been working very hard to get back to 100 percent.”
This weekend McBride will appear at the International Dealer Expo in Indianapolis, Ind., in the Web-Cam/Kibblewhite booth.
“The dealer show is always a good time,” McBride said. “It will be great to see everybody.”
McBride thanked sponsors; Pingel Enterprise, Trim-Tex Drywall Products, Drag Specialties-Parts Unlimited, Red Line Synthetic Oil Corporation, K&N Air Filters and Web-Cam as well as his other sponsors.
