Yes it’s true, a few dozen racers showed up early the SGMP to test early for the Mickey Thompson, MoTech World Finals at Valdosta.
A cold front came in early in the afternoon and by sundown temps were dropping fast. Before morning, temps of close to 36 degrees are predicted! Just after sundown, a few sprinkles were falling but no real rain hit the track or pit area between 6 and 9pm.
Layers of clothing became the dress code tonight in the pits as grills lit up for an evening of grill’n & chill’n.
Larry McBride and company did a short burst to check out the new clutch configuration and Team DAS from Danvers, Massachusetts, began testing their new Pro Street bike. What kind of numbers were run today, well no one’s talking so we’ll have to wait for round one qualifying Friday evening to find out.
