During the incident the bike came in contact with the retaining wall at the end of the shut down area. Cohen and her motorcycle were flung into the sand pit and the bike slid into the safety net beyond the pit. Miraculously Cohen escaped without any serious injuries.
“My hand is healing real good and I go to the doc next week to see if I can loose this collar,” Cohen said.
Unfortunately for Cohen the same cannot be said about her Suzuki TL-1000 Pro Stock Motorcycle. The bike was damaged extensively during the mishap.
I’m hoping we could be back on the track by Indy. It’s going to come down to how much it’s going to take to get the bike back together, I did a number on her,” Cohen said. “If I find some backing we could be back soon. I will be ready before the bike, that’s for sure.”
