Verl “Smitty” Smith and the VSR4VETS-Biker’s Choice Pro Street team was thrilled with test passes on Saturday at the Northwest Dragbike’s season opener at Woodburn Dragway, outside of Portland. The plans were for a test & tune session will be Friday from 3-6, where Smitty would get the first passes on his newly re-built drag bike. But after that Mother Nature had her way and brought in the rains, first a soft drizzle, then all day rain-rain rain.
But Smitty did run three 8.90’s on Saturday, really great passes any day and especially out of the trailer. Look for lower ET’s and faster mph’s as the season progresses.
