The Pro Street and Real Street rulebooks from time to time need to be revised to maintain parity in competition. We have drafted some small revisions mid-season to maintain parity that our racers and fans have come to expect. Not all changes are greeted with enthusiasm by all competitors, but sometimes they are necessary for the greater good of the class as a whole.
Please see the links below to the “Pro Street Rules Draft Revisions” and the “Real Street Rules Draft Revisions”. Everything colored in black are the same as the 2014 rules. Everything colored in blue are changes from 2014 to 2015 rules, and what everyone has been running all season. Everything colored in red are revisions we are looking to make now.
After IDBL, NHDRO, and MAN CUP technical departments have discussed the inerter shock issue with aftermarket shock companies we feel that it is going to be extremely difficult to tech for inerter shocks, so we have not banned them in the rules. So as you can see in the rules, we did not address inerter shocks.
The following “Pro Street Rules Draft Revisions” and the “Real Street Rules Draft Revisions” have been posted below for all Pro Street and Real Street racers to review. Please forward your input and suggestions to IDBL, NHDRO, and Man Cup after you have reviewed them. Please keep this constructive and understand that we cannot make everyone happy. Collectively IDBL, NHDRO, and Man Cup are working together on these changes to keep consistency with the rulebooks to keep these classes thriving.
We will review any suggestions and input you submit my email and we will make final decisions on if the “Pro Street Rules Draft Revisions” and the “Real Street Rules Draft Revisions” stand as they are or if we decide to make a few more tweaks before they become effective on June 25th.
