Nitro Harley veteran Rich Vreeland of Team Vreeland’s Harley-Davidson/ Numidia Dragway headed to Rockingham Dragway with only one goal: finish strong.
“Having never won the season finale at the Rock we headed to North Carolina with the goal of winning as the icing on the cake for this dream championship season,” Vreeland said.
Vreeland capped off a dominant AMRA Nitro Funny Bike season with another trip to the winner’s and the coveted No. 1 plate.
“We did it,” shouted Vreeland. “Winning a second championship was a dream come true, but serving as AMRA Chaplain this season has been an awesome experience and I would like to thank everyone who has attended Saturday night bible study at the track.”
Vreeland is in awe of the team’s body of work in 2018.
“The season started back in April at Beech Bend park in Kentucky with a runner up finish to Ryan Peery,” Vreeland said. “As it turns out, that would be our only round loss of the season.”
Vreeland scored wins in Bowling Green, Ky., Martin, Mich., Numidia, Pa. and Rockingham, N.C.
“Our hard working, all-volunteer team is amazing,” Vreeland said. “We competed in every round of AMRA Nitro Funny Bike competition this year.”
Vreeland’s team consists of co crew chiefs Tony VanKirk and Dennis Waldron with Sam (Deadbear) Mashini , Billy Rowe and Rich’s wife (girlfriend) Patti Vreeland.
Team Vreeland’s would like to thank the following people and companies for making its racing possible:
