The biggest motorcycle drag race of the season got a much appreciated gift from Mother Nature with an exceptional forecast. Already revered as a record-setting event, this year’s Mann Hill Garage / Kibblewhite World Finals from South Georgia Motorsports Park, Nov. 15-18 looks to be cool, fast and most importantly dry.
Race time temperatures in the 60s combined with an outstanding SGMP track surface prep will give racers a coveted opportunity to break records and run personal bests.
No one knows this better than Larry “Spiderman” McBride who ran the quickest dragbike run of all-time at 5.61 at last year’s event. It was 54 degrees when McBride ran his career best on Sunday evening.
‘The cool weather will give us the opportunity to make a lot more power. I’m very excited,” McBride said. “As long as we don’t overpower the track it should be real good.”
Man Cup’s Jay Regan shared McBride’s enthusiasm.
“It’s really exciting to think what many of these great teams are going to have the opportunity to do with an outstanding forecast,” Regan said.
Make your plans to be a part of history at SGMP.

3) The ManCup’s goal on Sunday is to get the event completed and get all racers, win or lose, on the road toward home at a reasonable time. All elimination rounds of Pro ET, Street ET and all Sportsman classes will be run as time allows. If you continue to win in any ET or Sportsman class after first round, please get your bike back to the lanes and be ready to go. ALL ET + Sportsman round winners are on notice that you class may run AT ANY TIME across Sunday afternoon and it is your obligation to be ready to go at ALL times! We will do the very best we can to accommodate riders who have multiple entries but it is also your obligation to let the officials know what other classes you are still in and how much time you need. Communication and additional Pit help are both tremendously important for all entries running in multiple classes! This schedule is done in an effort to try to constantly keep bikes going down the track and to have the event conclude at a reasonable time.
