The NGK NHRA Four-Wide Nationals will be the second time Jianna Salinas enters the Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte.
The first effort she made was in 2019 and it was just the third race in her rookie season. With many more runs and a National event win under her belt, she looks to fire off some great runs and clench her spot in the top 16 Pro Stock Motorcycles.
Jimmy Underdahl last competed at this event in 2018 where he started race day from the 16th qualifying spot. His highest qualified position at this event was in 2015 when we started from the 8th spot. He looks to improve on those performances.
Jasmine Salinas will begin qualifying on Friday in a new Top Alcohol Dragster built at Indy Speed Shop by Richie Crampton. Jasmine walked away from a blow over accident in March of this at the Gatornationals that totaled her race car. The Scrappers Racing crew has been hard at work over the past month and a half to ensure everything on the new car would be ready by this weekend.
“I just want to thank everyone again who helped out. More people had their hands on this car than we can list, but it was a massive team effort to get us back out for Charlotte,” Jasmine noted about the diligent work that went into the new build.
Mike Salinas will make his highly anticipated debut in the Pro Mod class this weekend, piloting the Scrappers Racing ProCharger ’69 Camaro. Mike will be pulling double duty while also piloting the Scrappers Racing Top Fuel Dragster. The Top Fuel team holds the zMAX track E.T. record at 3.687 seconds; a feat that was accomplished the last time a Four-Wide event was held at the track back in 2019.
