The 2024 International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Summit Team Finals are scheduled to begin in less than one month, August 22-24, with the Division 6 (Midwest) finals at Thunder Valley Dragways in South Dakota.
Each region hosts a Summit Team Finals for every division. Any Summit SuperSeries competitor that has an IHRA membership and number registered and valid according to IHRA records from at least July 1, 2024 and through the IHRA Summit Team Finals can win the 2024 Summit Team Finals main event championship in their division will become eligible for the Summit SuperSeries World Finals at Holly Springs Motorsports Park, October 9-12, 2024.
You can still attend the IHRA Summit Team Finals and be part of a member-track’s team even if you became a member after July 1.
You can still compete for an individual division title in your class and help your track compete for the team championship. However if you were not an IHRA member by July 1, you will not be eligible to qualify for the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals through the IHRA Summit Team Finals.
Division 6 (Midwest) tracks are: Thunder Valley Dragways, Humboldt County Dragway and Interlake Dragway.
Dakota Cargo is sponsoring the Top ET (Box) class. Other class sponsors are: Doyle Becker Construction for Mod ET (No Box), T&R Contracting for Sportsman, Josie’s Repair and Albers Painting for Motorcycle and Automatic Transmission and Gear for Junior Dragster.
Midwest Summit Team Finals champions from 2023 were: Matt Selden (Top), Joe McCarty (Mod), Terry Vanerzanden (Sportsman), Brian Wood (Motorcycle) and Taylor Hansen (Junior).
