It was a career highlight for NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Drag Bike racer “Kalifornia” Katie Sullivan when she traveled to Willowbank Raceway in Ipswich, Australia for the 52nd Annual Gulf Western Oil Winternationals Drag Race extravaganza, June 7-9. Initially Sullivan was hoping to be the first to run a Pro (Stock) Bike six second pass “down under.” Just a short time before the event Australian racer Luke Crowley took that honor with a stellar 6.90. The goal for Sullivan and team then became win the race and make the long trip pay off. After a rough start in qualifying it was clear Sullivan would have her work cut out for her up against a hungry and gung-ho field of Australian IHRA Thunder 400 Pro Bike Racers? Could the young and talented American racer find a way to score a win for Team USA?
