Harley-Davidson Inc. said Wednesday that chief financial officer Gina Goetter, who joined the company as part of CEO Jochen Zeitz’s new management team, will resign at the end of April — and her new position is with toymaker Hasbro Inc.
Goetter was a key player in the company’s Rewire strategy, which saw a major emphasis on electric vehicles, including the eventual spin-off of the LiveWire brand into its own company, with IPO in fall of 2022. Another important part of the Rewire plan was an increased emphasis on highly-profitable premium motorcycles over more basic machines. We’ve seen this play out in the years since with news like the EVO Sportster cancellation.
Harley-Davidson says Vice President, Treasurer David Viney is going to cover Goetter’s CFO role as an interim fill-in.
