Pro Stock Motorcycle fan favorite Chris Bostick is determined to make his time count this weekend at the NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway, outside of St. Louis. After a rough start to the Countdown to the Championship, Bostick is ready for redemption aboard his The Surf Signature RV Resort Suzuki tuned by White Alligator Racing (WAR) owner and tuner Tim Kulungian.
Known for his flair, fearlessness and penchant for safety, Bostick recently took advantage of a rule change mandating that he add weight to his machine by incorporating a parachute into his bike setup, pioneering a potential opportunity to mitigate risk when racing a Pro Stock Motorcycle. While he is still exploring and innovating this element, Bostick is determined to keep the excitement over this new addition from getting in the way of his Countdown goals.
“Charlotte didn’t go as planned,” said Bostick, referring to the most recent event on the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series tour. “However, the crew has been back at the shop working on the engines for St Louis. I know that we can perform better than we have been. We’ve always enjoyed racing in St. Louis. The fans are great, and I think their enthusiasm will give us that extra energy boost we need.”
Racing action in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series will kick off tomorrow, September 27, with qualifying sessions at noon and 2:30 p.m. Qualifying continues on Saturday, September 28 with sessions at noon and 2:30 p.m. Eliminations will begin at 11:00 a.m on Sunday, September 29.
